Bluebell Railway

The volunteer-run Bluebell Railway was the UK's first preserved standard gauge passenger railway, re-opening part of the Lewes to East Grinstead line of the old London Brighton & South Coast Railway in 1960. Since then it has developed into one of the finest tourist attractions in Sussex, yet it still remains true to its ideal of preserving for posterity a country branch line, complete with steam locomotives, coaches, goods wagons, stations and operating practices. As such it provides an ideal location for a memorable day out. Furthermore, the splendid Golden Arrow Pullman Train is definitely a must for lunch, afternoon tea or evening dinner.

Make the whole day a trip back in time by travelling on a vintage bus or coach to your waiting steam train. We can provide one of our unique vehicles to take your group to the Bluebell Railway - a service which gives you the opportunity to enjoy Pullman dining to the full, without the worry of driving home. Our current selection of vintage buses and coaches can be viewed here.

Details of Bluebell’s Golden Arrow Pullman Train can be found at Bluebell Railway catering.
